Construction and infrastructure
Excavators, cranes and generators
Local energy provision for zero-emission construction sites and charging of construction equipment.
A game changer in “construction and infrastructure” provides nitrogen space. European climate goals require change in every sector. The government aims to reduce CO2 emissions in the Netherlands by 60% by 2030 compared to 1990. On the way there, builders are getting new obligations. Sustainability in infrastructure therefore requires a different mindset: a reconsideration of how the execution of infrastructure projects can be done in a more sustainable way.
Nitrogen, carbon dioxide, and noise are all forms of emissions that the construction sector wants to minimize. The construction industry is responsible for 0.6% of total nitrogen emissions in the Netherlands, mainly during the construction process, for example, through the use of equipment.
Clean energy systems provide a flexible, emission-free energy source for construction projects. The time when only diesel generators provided construction sites with energy is a thing of the past. There are now mobile energy systems available on the market that emit no CO2 or NOx.
